cotton candy sky
If I can stay awake or keep from crying while typing this blog I'll be a end of summer miracle.
movies in the park
sprinklers
volleyball in the backyard in the sprinklers
reading series at the library
bike rides
the O.C. Fair
swimming at Grandma & Papa's
bbq's
local car shows
dinner at Island's
beach time, boogie boards, skim boards
baseball in the cul-de-sac
potty training, diaper free victory
yardsales
thrift store discoveries
riding Odesseys & the thunder pig at Willowbee
Daddy's dirty corn
"get outta that tree"
ice pops
ice in our drinks
potato salad
watermelon, cantelope, honeydew-melon & more watermelon
Rozzy's turned 7
ice cream party
pounds of sprinkles, waffle cones
a 4 layer cake stacked up so high it could've been mistaken for the leaning tower of Pisa
filling up waterballoons with a really good friend while two toddler boys try and crawl under your legs to get to the water spigot where your filling them up at.
impromptu water balloon fight
Shane turned 10
doing something big for double digits
trying to teach Scotty pre- preschool stuff to ready him for preschool
2nd grade
4th grade
6th grade
back to school shopping
orientation
concerts in the park
Route 66
naps
playing at the park with friends
better naps
free swim at the plunge
met the dog of our dreams
did something I haven't done since I was 5 years old.. fell in love with a dog and then cried like a little girl when he had to go.
this summer (which is not over just because school is starting back) has provided awesome photos, memories, heartbreak, tears, pounds, connectedness, laughs, sleeping, old friends, play dates, new places, new faces, and everything that makes you feel like home.
thank you summer 2011 for the long days out and the long days around the house, for the cotton candy skies at sunset and the singing birds in the morning.
Im crying because you knew just what we needed this summer.
thank you for my miracles.
